AFS Finland is looking for an ESC volunteer to join our summer programs team. You will have an opportunity to try new things and work in an international environment together with AFS Office staff, Finnish AFS volunteers and exchange students from Europe, Asia and USA. Your tasks will include, for example, planning and executing events and workshops related to intercultural learning, helping summer exchange students during their exchange program and updating AFS’ social media channels. Throughout the summer, you will be supported by our staff and you will receive needed training for the volunteering period. You will work 7,5 hours a day, 5 days a week. You should be prepared to work some evenings and weekends. You will have 2 days off every week.
WHEN AND WHERE?
The volunteering period lasts from June 2019 to October 2019. We are flexible with the exact dates. You will be working in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. In this beautiful city by the sea you can find a lot of possibilities for sightseeing, shopping, eating and hobbies. You will be staying with a host family, which will offer you an authentic picture of Finnish everyday life. It is important that you are motivated to learn about Finnish culture and language.

WHAT WE OFFER?
